This month we highlight Kemmerer Village, near Assumption, Illinois, which is a Presbyterian Children Care Agency. Its mission is to provide a wide range of quality services, which meet the needs of children, youth and their families. The programs are directed to help children and youth attain the necessary skills to become well-adjusted and productive members of society. The 120 children at Kemmerer Village come from a diverse background of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, and family and community violence. Kemmerer Village works with the children to development self-esteem, respect and trust in adults. The most recent issue of Kemmerer Voices is posted on the Mission & Stewardship bulletin board in the Chapel. Find out how animals and painting are being used at Kemmerer Village to provide therapy to the children.
Thank you for your contributions, you have provided for the children of Kemmerer Village for 101 years. Through the years many things have changed except the goal of providing a loving home to children in need. Through your contributions and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, so much is being done to assist those in need.
