The Deacons would like to express our sincere thanks to all who responded with financial support during our May appeal.
As a group, we’ve been having discussions about ways in which we can increase and deepen our local ministries to those who are in various kinds of need, and we’re hoping this newsletter can be a forum and a way of reaching out for input from church members.
We are looking into possibilities of having more church service contact with members who are house-bound or living in senior care facilities. This would perhaps include a more informal, monthly service/get together at our senior housing centers. Also being considered are opportunities for communion and CDs/MP3s of recorded sermons/services being made available along with the necessary equipment. And, of course, we are open to any other mission suggestions.
If any of these ideas sound appealing to you and/or is desired or needed by someone you know, please leave a message at the church office (673-1526) or talk to one of the Deacons. We hope to be implementing some of these ideas this Fall and would appreciate hearing from you.
